Diplomat of the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery
Dr. Ackerson received his undergraduate degree from University of Southern California and his medical degree from University of California - Irvine. He had an internship and also completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at LAC+USC Medical Centerand a fellowship at American College of Surgeons and International College of Surgeons. He was in the Military in the United States Air Force as a Flight Surgeon. Dr. Ackerson is active in the American Medical Association, California Medical Association, Pasadena Medical Association ,Western Orthopedic Association ,Los Angeles County Medical Association ,Orthopedic Teaching Service. He specializes in Total Joint Replacement, Traum and Fracture Surgery, Complex Orthopaedic Consultations.
